Out Today -‘Tell The Girl’ By Golden Vessel

Today, Australian producer Golden Vessel (real name Max Byrne) has released his brand new single”Tell The-Girl,” featuring vocals from new Brisbane project Emerson Leif. The track is the lead single from Golden Vessel’s forthcoming 2nd EP and is released today alongside its engrossingly odd and gorgeously shot official video.

The track is the follow up to last year’s debut EP Before Sleep (featuring singles “Vines,” “Never Know,” and “Do You Think About Me”), which saw critical acclaim and set the stage for big things to come from the budding producer.

“Tell The-Girl” is astutely layered and cradled by percussive subtly, lightweight instrumentation, and Emerson Leif’s effortless melodic vocal. Byrne describes, “The track lyrically explores the concept of love expressed in its most true form, unconditionally. A shift away from the commonly portrayed idea of affection being earned. To love someone for exactly who they are, where they are, how they are.” About the video clip, Byrne goes on, “The video explores the movement of the song, and reflects on being stuck in the dull mindset of suburban life.”
Golden Vessel first gained steam in 2013 after submitting his debut single “Stairwell” to the Triple J ‘Unearthed High’ competition where it saw widespread praise from the Triple J audience and presenters. Since then, he has not slowed down between national Australian touring and continuous writing and producing.

A native of Brisbane, Byrne found himself enthralled with the complex facets of electronic music at a young age studying the synthesizer and the techniques of his favorite producers. A unique mix of influences has molded his sound into a distinct lo-fi downtempo style touching on pop, hip-hop, and delicate soul sensibility. As Max puts it, “I want to convey in my music everything I love about music.”

In celebration of “Tell The-Girl,” Brisbane fans will be treated to a special one-off show March 31st @ Black Bear Lodge, which will showcase the premiere of Golden Vessel’s all-new ‘GV Projections Show.’

Of “Tell The-Girl,” Max describes:

“The track lyrically explores the concept of love expressed in its most true form, unconditionally. A shift away from the commonly portrayed idea of affection being earned. To love someone for exactly who they are, where they are, how they are.”
